WHAT MAKES US PRETTY IN THE LORD’S EYES
You, sweet Father, see more in us than worldly eyes can see.
You see all of our inner workings that made us who we should be.
Not only are we vessels of flesh and billions of working parts,
But it’s the love for You, You desire to see, in all of Your children’s hearts.
You rejoice when they choose Your path of truth in their meek and humble attire,
And delight in Your sons and daughters, when to Your will, they strive to aspire.
You listen to their grateful hearts of praise and loving affection
As Your devoted children on bended knees do pray for Your guidance and protection.
You love the children who live for You, and reject this confusing world,
Who turn their backs on the corruption and greed which all around them swirls.
They learn to know Your voice of wisdom that speaks so soft and low.
While held in the arms of Your Holy Spirit that You've placed inside their souls.
All these things make us pretty to our dear Father God who sees inside us.
