DEBORAH'S LOVING WORDS TO GOD

My soul, stray not far from your Father's side.    

Let not worldly clutter claim your thinking. 

Answer God's call to be the holy bride,

Then hear His angels rejoice in singing.

Let not chores and duties eat up your time. 

Seek not only pleasures all of your days.

Take time for your prayers on this uphill climb,

And thank God for His kind and gentle ways.  

Were it not for His potter's hands of love,

A child you would be, living in fear.

Forgetting salvation comes from above,

And God's voice, never able to hear.

But the Lord makes all things, not just a few.

He fills up the seas and sculpts the land.

Accomplishing what He sets out to do,

With limitless strength and artistic hand

Now tell the world how the Lord has changed you,

All His compassion so graciously shown, 

And mercy sprinkled as the morning dew,

He's placed in you for His glory alone.

So help me to stay diligent and true,

That I would be faithful to heed God's call.

For soon His outstretched arms will be in view,

My God, my Jesus, my love and my all.

Sitting on God's Lap

Dear Father God,

            It happened on a day when the faith of this calf coming out of her stall, wavered and fell.  Her confidence which received its strength from you, Father, became misplaced.  The worldly and misguided ways of the past took hold of her again.  She slipped back down into the insecure ways of her previous life, away from your guidance and away from your counsel.  She was not able to see your hand that reached out to her.  She had lost her way and could not get back into the safety of your loving arms.  With all of the worldly distractions all round her, her emotions had got out of hand.  She had not used your wisdom and careful planning to head off any problems.  As a result she had over reacted to each interruption thrown in her direction.  She had tried on her own to navigate her way on this path that you had chosen especially for her, but things were not working out as planned. 

            She was experiencing that old worry, confusion, and fear again because she had relied on her own decisions on how to do things and had neglected to follow your guidance, Father.  She cried out to you, Father, to help her get out of the terrible predicament she had got herself into. 

            Immediately you heard her calling out to you.  As an attentive parent You came to her aid to comfort and soothe your teary eyed child.  You came to her side, picked her up and held her in your strong but loving embrace.  Laying her head on your chest, she immersed herself in the safety and peace that you brought to her troubled soul. 

            She listened to your comforting voice, telling her how you were pleased with how much she had grown spiritually in the last few years.  You allayed her fears when you reminded her that you would never leave her or forsake her.  You also spoke of Your plans for her, and how the path you had her on now was to strengthen her, and prepare her for her future destiny in Your kingdom.

            As your still small voice guided this child on how to get through a difficult time, she dried her tears, thanked you for always being there, and gave you a hug.  As she slowly slipped off of your lap, you assured her that you would continue to be right beside her, holding her hand, so she need not worry or be afraid.  She felt much better after spending this valuable time with you.  She was now ready to tackle, with renewed inner strength, courage, and valor, whatever you had planned for her.

            Father, this child, sounds a lot like me, doesn't it?  Like her I often slip into my old worldly ways, being absent minded, leaving your side, and returning to my old habits.  Despite my wanderings, and often losing my way, my desire is to please you, bring you happiness, and maybe one day really sit in your lap, too.

The Lord's Letter of Guidance for Our Lives

Dear Deborah,

My daughter, you need a tiny droplet of faith to tackle those assignments that I have placed before you.  You need a little bit of determination to complete those tasks that will satisfy My will for you.  You need some courage to confront those things that make you a little bit shaky and a little unsure of yourself.  You must learn how to walk in "a thousand feet of water" in order to follow Me and My Son, Jesus.  Doing this means being in situations that you have not been in before, trusting in Me, and knowing that I will bring you through them. 

It is good that you want to please Me and do My will for your life, daughter.  However, beware of the unrighteous and corrupted paths that the evil one will try to lure you on. 

As it says in My word, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." (Psalm 111:10)  For without that fear you will only continue to follow your own unsound ways as so many of the people on this earth continue to do. 

Do not rely only on your own understanding, daughter, but on My leading.  Know that your purpose on this earth is to be a living sacrifice for Me and that you can be My hands, My feet, and My voice to help the lost and dying souls find the path that leads to Me and My Son, Jesus. 

Also dear daughter, know that your service will be graciously rewarded, with peace, love, joy, and a place with Me and My Son through all eternity.

Dear Father God,

Thank you, Father, for leading me and teaching me that this world is a proving ground.  It's a place of testing, a place for spiritual growth, and a place for learning your ways.  You have taught me that those who live their lives here in accordance with your true Word, who love you, and worship you will be the most worthy to dwell with You and Your Son, through all eternity.

As Paul says in his writings,

Philipians 3:14:  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. 

1 Corinthians 9:24: Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run that ye may obtain.

Dear Child of Mine,

Open your sleepy eyes to the morning's glorious awakening and the robin's joyful song. Catch the early rays of the sunlight's beckoning on this new day of promise. Let not your slumbering time extend beyond its daily routine borders. Fight your way to freedom from the groggy state that encircles you, and come out to meet Me in the sanctuary of your choosing.

Take note of the troubles occurring all around you that were long ago foretold in My book of life. They are all signs that My new day is on the horizon. It will be a day that is free from the entanglements of debilitating and paralyzing emotions. It will be a day without any internal strangleholds of fear and worry to keep you from accomplishing My will for your life. For My child, I created you to be as an eagle, to fly and to soar through the sky on wings unshackled.

Leave the issues and the troubles of this world behind, for they weigh you down and keep you from truly knowing Me and drawing closer to Me and My Son, Jesus.

Therefore, get ready, My child, for a new beginning is being birthed and will soon take the place of this fallen world. Wait for Me, My darling, by the Eastern gate. Bring only the oil that you hold inside, for that was My gift to you for your faithfulness.

As the world becomes more unstable, and the time for My new day gets closer, I will come for you, My child. Watch for Me riding upon a horse of white.

Get ready My beloved, My own, for I will be coming soon.

Father God's Comforting Words to a Fearful Daughter

Dear daughter,

Dear child, it is thy Father and Creator who calls thy name in the dark evening hours.  Dear child, take heed for the things that cause you to tremble and fill your soul with dread need not be feared as you lie awake at night. 

For remember, dear one, it is I who created you and nurtured you from the womb.  It is I who watch over you day after day, keeping you safe from the clutches of the evil one's followers.  Do not let others frighten you, dear daughter, for I have you nestled safely in the palms of My hands.  Jesus also walks with you, guiding you on your earthly journey, along My narrow path. 

You are to follow Me and My Son up Jacob's heavenly ladder.  For on the day that you reach My starry realm, there you will find the love, peace, and joy that you have longed for, entering deep within your soul.  Then you will never be separated from Me and My Son, Jesus, again. 

My Dear Daughter, I do thank you for keeping Me in your thoughts, though distractions of a physical sort encompass your senses round about.  I thank you for heeding My guidance and instructions, though at times your fear and worry stand in the way and make things more difficult.  My dear child, I thank you for not forgetting about Me and desiring to please Me and bring Me happiness too.  I thank you for striving to be the best daughter you can be for Me. 

Most of all, I thank you for sending Me your love.
