Our Riches in Christ
In Christ We Have:
A love that can never be fathomed.
A life that can never die.
A peace that can never be understood.
A rest that can never be disturbed.
A joy that can never be diminished.
A hope that can never be disappointed.
A glory that can never be clouded.
A happiness that can never be interrupted.
A light that can never be extinguished.
A strength that can never be overcome.
A beauty that can never be marred.
A purity that can never be defiled.
Resources that can never be exhausted.
These are some of our riches in Christ.
Jesus My All
Christ my Savior, Christ my friend,
Christ my treasure without end;
Christ when waves of sorrow roll,
Christ the comfort of my soul.
Christ when all around should fail,
Christ when enemies prevail;
Christ when false accusers rise,
Christ my solace in the skies.
Christ when days are dark and drear,
Christ when all around is clear;
Christ when all the earth is gone,
Christ my portion on the throne.
Christ at home and Christ abroad,
Christ my company on the road;
Christ in sickness, Christ in health,
Christ in poverty and wealth.
Christ who once on earth has trod,
Christ the blessed Son of God;
Christ for now and Christ for then,
Christ my Savior and My friend.
What is Love?
Love is an attitude-love is a prayer,
For a soul thatís in sorrow, for a heart thatís in despair;
Love is good wishes for the gain of another,
Love suffers long with the fault of a brother.
Love giveth water to a cup thatís run dry;
Love reaches down as low, as it can reach high;
Love seeks not her own at the expense of another;
Love reaches God when it reaches our brother.
One day I rang a doorbell in a casual sort of way;
It was not a formal visit and there was not much to say.
I do not remember what I saidóit does not matter I guessó
But I found a heart in hunger, a soul deep in distress.
He said I came from heaven, and I have often wondered why;
He said I came to see him when no other help was nigh.
It meant so little to me to knock at a strangerís door,
But it meant heaven to him and Godís peace forevermore.
