A Teacher Applying for a Job in Todayís Godless Schools
After being interviewed
By the school administration,
The eager teacher prospect
"Let me see if I've got this right.
You want me to go into that room with all those kids,
You want me to fill their every waking moment with a love for learning.
Youíre telling me I'm supposed to instill a sense of pride and dignity in their ethnicity.
I have to learn to modify their disruptive behavior and I am to observe them for signs of any abuse they might be having at home.
I have to learn how to censor their T-shirt messages and their dress habits.
You want me to wage a war on the drugs they might be using and the sexually transmitted diseases they might have.
I am supposed to check their backpacks for weapons of mass destruction and I am supposed to
raise their level of self esteem.
You want me to teach them patriotism, good citizenship, sportsmanship, fair play, and how to register to vote.
I am supposed to teach them how they can balance a checkbook, and I am to show them
how they can apply for a job.
I am supposed to check their heads for lice and maintain a safe environment for them while they are in my class.
I am supposed to recognize any
signs they may have of anti-social behavior.
I am also supposed to make sure they all pass their state exams.
I am to make certain that the students I have come to school regularly to
complete all of their assignments.
I am to make sure that all of the
ones with handicaps or social disorders get an equal education
regardless of the extent of their mental or physical disabilities.
I am to communicate regularly with their parents at all times.
I am to do this by letter, telephone,
newsletter, and an ongoing report card.
I am to do all this work with just
a piece of chalk, a computer,
a few books, a bulletin board,
and a big smile.
I am to make sure all of their families are kept informed regularly of their studentís progress in my classroom.
I am to do all these things on a starting salary that only qualifies me and my family for food stamps!
Therefore, you want me
to do all of these things without reference to God and His Son, Jesus.
You also donít want me to say any prayers to God and His Son, on the school property, or in my classroom.
Is it any wonder all of the schools in the United States and around the world are in such dire straights today.
Is it any wonder that violence is increasing in these schools and anti-social behavior is increasing in the students that go to these godless schools.
Another Poem from a Student's Perspective About the State of Our Schools Today
WRITTEN BY A 15 yr. Old SCHOOL KID IN ARIZONA : New Pledge of Allegiance (TOTALLY AWESOME) ! Since the Pledge of AllegianceAndThe Lord's PrayerAre not allowed in most Public schools anymoreBecause the word 'God' is mentioned.... A kid in Arizona wrote the attached NEW School prayer : Now I sit me down in school Where praying is against the rule For this great nation under God Finds mention of Him very odd. If Scripture now the class recites, It violates the Bill of Rights. And anytime my head I bow Becomes a Federal matter now. Our hair can be purple, orange or green, That's no offense; it's a freedom scene. The law is specific, the law is precise. Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice. For praying in a public hall Might offend someone with no faith at all. In silence alone we must meditate, God's name is prohibited by the state. We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks, And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.. They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible. To quote the Good Book makes me liable. We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen, And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King. It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong, We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong. We can get our condoms and birth controls, Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles. But the Ten Commandments are not allowed, No word of God must reach this crowd. It's scary here I must confess, When chaos reigns the school's a mess. So, Lord, this silent plea I make: Should I be shot; My soul please take! Amen If you aren't ashamed to do this, Please pass this on. Jesus said, 'If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you before my Father.'
